I have put the post Lies, damn lies and hysterics back under password protection. It will remain on my blog so, should the accusations and rumours circulate again, the information is still available. The reason I am putting it back on lockdown is because I think people need to move on. It has served its purpose. The truth will always out. For now, those who were damaged by what happened need to heal and, most importantly, we all have work to do.
I would like to say, on a personal note, that I have been sorry to hear of other people who have experienced similar behaviour from the same group. I wish I had known sooner and been able to help. Also, I’ve been really heartened by those who may have unwittingly got involved but have apologised and built bridges. It’s good to see some friendships and allyship being restored.
For now, I’d like to get back to what I do best; reading science papers and talking about genitals. I hope everyone else involved can get back to doing what they do best too. In-fighting is not my thing, neither is perpetuating it. I have, in the past, greatly respected many of the people involved, some of them still have my full respect, some less so. I’m not going to police anyone else’s opinion on that, I ask you respect mine.
