Introducing DSDvoices…

I thought it might be useful to share some other perspectives from intersex people/people with DSDs, so I’m going to start a collection called DSDvoices. I hope this provides intersex people/people with DSDs with a space in which they can tell their stories and talk about themselves and their conditions without fear of being criticised or attacked by political activists. Interesex/DSD is not a monolith. It encompasses a broad range of conditions, affecting people from all walks of life. I hope DSDvoices helps people to understand this and goes some way to fighting the stigmas produced by the unhelpful mainstream media narrative that we’re all hermaphrodites with identity issues.

So, with that in mind, I would like to introduce you to @soulfoodie from Twitter and her story of being a woman with Turner Syndrome and the importance of seeing TS women as women and not props for the identities of others.
